What this site collects, where it goes, and how to get rid of it. Last updated 30 July 2026.
What we collect
Only what you hand over. There is no account system on this site yet, so there is nothing to collect until you use the waitlist form:
- Your email address, when you submit the waitlist form or type it into a sign-up card on an article. It is passed to the waitlist page in the address bar and submitted from there.
- Your resume file, if you attach one to finish the waitlist signup. Maximum 5 MB, PDF or DOCX.
- Anonymous usage analytics on the production site, through Microsoft Clarity. This records page views and interaction patterns to show us which parts of the site people actually use. It is not tied to your identity by us.
We do not use advertising cookies, we do not run retargeting pixels, and we do not sell or share your address with anyone.
Where it is stored
The waitlist submission goes to a Google Apps Script endpoint we control. Your resume file is stored in Google Drive and your email address is appended to a row in a Google Sheet, both in accounts belonging to Horabbit. Google acts as our processor for that storage. Analytics data sits with Microsoft Clarity under their own retention policy.
Web fonts on this site are requested from Google Fonts, which means your browser contacts Google to fetch them and Google sees the request. Self-hosting these is on our list.
What we use it for
The email address is used to tell you when access opens, and nothing else — no newsletter you did not ask for, no third-party promotions. The resume is used to prepare your first career report so that there is something waiting for you when you get in. It is not shared with employers, recruiters, or anyone else, and nothing is ever sent to a company on your behalf from a waitlist signup.
How long we keep it
Waitlist entries are kept until the product opens to you and for a reasonable period after, so we can tell whether you took up the invitation. Ask us to delete yours at any point and we will, including the resume file.
Your rights
You can ask to see what we hold on you, get a copy of it, have it corrected, or have it deleted. Write to hello@horabbit.com from the address you signed up with and say which of those you want. We will action it and confirm when it is done. If you are in the UK or the EU, these are your rights under the UK GDPR and the GDPR respectively, and you can also complain to your national data protection authority.
Children
This site is not intended for anyone under 16 and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Changes
When what we collect changes, this page changes with it and the date at the top moves. The version you are reading was written on 30 July 2026.
