USCIS publishes every employer whose H-1B petitions it approved, by fiscal year — 28,384 of them across 3,757 cities in FY2023. A filing record proves an employer has sponsored before and knows the process. It does not mean they are hiring now, or that they will sponsor your role.

The UK publishes a register of every employer licensed to sponsor, which is a different and stronger signal — permission rather than history. We publish it town by town.
Where does this data come from?
The USCIS H-1B Employer Data Hub, which records approvals and denials by employer, city and fiscal year. Works of the US federal government carry no copyright, so the data is free to republish.
Why fiscal year 2023?
That is the most recent year USCIS releases as a downloadable file. Newer quarters exist in their interactive hub but are not published in bulk. These pages report what was approved in a stated year rather than what is true today, so an older edition remains accurate.
Is a big approval number better?
It means an established H-1B workforce, since the total includes extensions and transfers as well as new hires. A large sponsor knows the process cold, but you are also one of many. A smaller employer with a handful of approvals may give you a better hearing.
